Traditional Remodeling: These types of contractors focus primarily on just the construction. If you’re interested in design, this would be a whole separate service.
They’ll give a rough estimate of the cost and this can sometimes be problematic because they usually aim at the lower end of the estimated cost. Since you have to hire the designer and contractor separately, it can be difficult to know who exactly is in charge.
Design Build Remodeling: This type of contractor is much more straightforward. All design elements and contracting are under one roof. It leaves the guesswork out of the equation of the cost and who’s in charge. This can be a simpler option.
It’s good to remember that one isn’t necessarily better than the other. As stated in the Youtube video, this is how many traditional contractors have operated and still operate today. It’s more about what is convenient for you and get’s you the home of your dreams.
